President of Football Kenya Federation

Nick Mwendwa has refused auditing of the account books and gives the government tough conditions before allowing them to carry out any audits

In his statements, the football federation demands the government to provide relevant  names of those  who have been assigned to look into the FKF books of accounts before they can allow them to cry on with the process

A letter asking the ministry to provide a full list of the committee members was then sign by MR. Barry Otieno the CEO.

Nick wants a clear  clarification from government on having appointed Mike Kimoko  to be the lead  chairman of the inspection agency that will lead his team in the auditing process.

In his letter to the ministry, Mwendwa asked CS Amina to confirm if Kimoko is indeed the chairperson of the FKF Inspection Committee and was directly appointed by her in accordance with the Sports Act.

“FKF wishes to request your good office to kindly provide the full list of the committee members and confirm, in writing, that the undersigned in the aforementioned letter, Mike Kimoko, is indeed the chairperson of the FKF Inspection Committee appointed by yourself in accordance with the Sports Act (2013).”

The CS was put to task by the National Assembly’s Sports, Culture and Tourism Committee yesterday to explain why she was determined with the auditing of the football association now more than ever yet she has not been able to not do the same for other federations.

She on the other hand ruled out any mischiefs  informing the committee that the matter has been noted by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) hence a thorough probe will be done to find out the truth of the issue at hand.

The CS also emphasised that the ministry  has been able to embarked on streamlining all federations that are not in compliant with the  sports Act.
