After Vice President William Ruto got into a fight with President Uhuru Kenyatta, he went on a mission to start the first campaigns so that when it comes to the general election on August 9, 2022, he might be able to beat all his competitors in the first round and become the fifth president of the nation.[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXBEue4KJls[/embedyt]
One of the regions that Ruto focused on was President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Mount Kenya region.
The DP knew well enough that if he took control of the vote-rich region from his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, he would have an easy time by winning the next poll and, for sure, there came a time when Ruto and his allies were sure to be in control of the Mount Kenya region.
Even so, things began to slowly change after Raila Odinga began his campaigns in the mountains and when he reached the point of choosing a running mate, Ruto’s decision to choose Rigathi Gachagua was overshadowed by the move of Raila to choose Martha Karua.
Since that time, the ground has shifted to the Raila Odinga side and today Kenyans are left talking after Ruto’s close ally William Kabogo surrendered when he admitted they are losing it in the Mount Kenya region.
According to reports, Kabogo said Martha Karua is too strong for Rigathi Gachagua in the vote-rich region and therefore, if they don’t act quickly, Karua will get many people to vote for Raila Odinga.
