As Kenya tales the lead in restoring peace in Congo the First KENSIG troop have been flagged off to Democratic Republic of Congo

The team will be under the leadership of the Company’s second in command Captain Sheilla Kathile.

They will have a a major task of provide communication connectivity and information technology services to the Mission and the force.

The KENSIG is a mission under the United Nations Organization stabilisation mission to the DRC.

During the flagging off which took place at the Embakasi Garrison the troops were urged to be true Kenyan ambassador and to diligently strive for exemplary performance. First KENSIG troop have been flagged off

Deputy Army commander, Major General Peter Muteti to follow in the good conduct set by their registered predecessors who had already been deployed to Congo.

“Endeavor to uphold the exemplary performance registered by your predecessors who have already been deployed to DRC,” he said.

Kenya has in more than four decades actively taken part in both regional and international peace security and takes pride in it.
