With Ruto currently finalizing to set up his administration having appointed new Cabinet Secretaries, a section of members of parliament from Kiambu now want President William Ruto to increase the appointments he has made from the county.

Speaking last evening during celebrations to mark the achievement of former Gatundu North MP Francis Kigo Njenga who was recently awarded a doctorate degree, the legislators urged Ruto to ensure fairness in the distribution of government positions for all Kenyans to feel like part of his government.

The legislators Gathoni Wamuchomba (Githunguri), Mburu Kahangara (Lari), George Koimburi (Juja) and Elijah Njoroge Kururia (Gatundu North) told Ruto to consider appointing more leaders from Kiambu to the positions of Principal Secretary and Chief Administrative Secretary for better representation.

They specifically urged the Head of State to consider appointing a leader from Gatundu North constituency which has had no representative in the national government for years now.

The lawmakers made the remarks at a time when the scramble for government appointments continues to intensify with more leaders indicating their interest to serve in various positions.
