Kimilili member of parliament  Didmus Barasa has revealed secret plans that the  Kenya Kwanza government has in saving Sirisia members of parliament John Waluke who is  currently serving his 67 years jail term

The Sirisia MP John Waluke was jailed 67 years or  pay a Ksh1 billion fine for defrauding NCPB.

The outspoken legislator said that Waluke was among the people who were punished by the previous administration for supporting President  Ruto and the punishment was intended to have him go slow on supporting Ruto and stand firm behind the former president.

Waluke however returned to Jubilee a few months before the general elections even though his sentence had already been passed.

Barasa noted that they supported the convicted MP until he got out of jail during his appeal to the High Court.

“Waluke was jailed under Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration. We in Tanga Tanga at that time we put together lawyers, and resources and got him out on bond pending appeal. He went back to court after elections, the High court maintained the sentence that was posted on him and he went him back to prison,” the Kimilili MP said.

He added that the only way they can help Waluke is by paying his lawyers and assembling resources to bail him out of jail once his appeal at the Appellate court kicks off.

“The only way we can assist him is that we are also willing and ready. We have commissioned our lawyers who are already arguing in court so that he can be able to move to the court of appeal and get to appeal the jail sentence.

“We are ready to put up resources so that we can pay bail but as you are aware, the judiciary is independent the judiciary is not an annex of William Ruto’s administration and we have said that we want to professionalize all our government institutions so we can only assist our good friend John Waluke by paying lawyers and bailing him out,” Barasa said.

Waluke has already filed a case in court. Judges Asike Makhandia, Sankale ole Kantai, and Grace Ngenye will hear and determine his case.
